Basilica di Santa Maria di Materdomini

The Basilica Sanctuary of Santa Maria Materdomini is situated in the hamlet of Materdomini. It is one of the most important places of worship in southern Campania, recognised as a national monument and awarded the title of minor pontifical basilica.

A former Benedictine abbey, the sanctuary has been a spiritual and cultural landmark for the region for centuries. Inside, it houses the venerated image of Santa Maria Materdomini, the focus of a devotion deeply rooted in the local community and a destination for pilgrimages.

Set in a landscape of great beauty, the basilica combines religious significance, historical memory and architectural quality, offering visitors an experience of contemplation and reflection.
